Wall Fountains Make Entertaining Guests A Breeze

by Wyatt Fisk

Are you on the prowl for good ways to dress up your house without refurbishing it? Despite having a ton of options on how to do this, most people choose to install water fountains, or more specifically, wall fountains. The reasons behind this ranges from fountains being cheaper than other home decors and their provision of health benefits to occupants of and visitors to any home they are located.

Why should you choose wall fountains over floor and tabletop geysers? Most floor fountains take up a considerable amount of space. A few floor spouts are so huge that they often end up consuming an entire room's space. In contrast, wall-mounted fountains only take up a part of a wall that may under different circumstances be occupied by other decors like photographs and paintings.

Tabletop spouts are more appropriate for private areas of the house, such as the bedroom or the study, since they rarely attract as much attention as other kinds of fountains. If you want to use them in non-exclusive areas, then make sure they complement a bigger water attraction, such as wall fountains, which provide a better spectacle.

Wall water fountains make better ornaments than other bubblers, and they come in a wide array of finishes, from stone, like slate and marble, to metal, such as copper, brass and stainless steel. Don't be surprised if you come across glass fountains on the walls of homes or offices as they are great attention grabbers and scene stealers. As you may have already guessed, a majority of wall fountains have glossy surfaces.

Compared to other fountains that are either too big or too small, a wall fountain is easy to maintain. Once a month, unplug the fountain, take it off the wall, siphon the water, and give all surfaces a vigorous wipe down. If you see any stains that are difficult to remove, such as algae and water marks, use only cleansing products that you can obtain from specialty fountain stores at the nearest mall or online. To ensure that your fountain stays in top form, wipe it clean every day.

Before you head down to the mall to get a wall water fountain, you may want to first decide on where you will put it. The entry foyer of your home is ideal as you may need the fountain's aura of comfort and warmth to greet visitors. Other great places to set up wall fountains include indoor dining and living areas as these are frequently used to accommodate guests.

Are you on the prowl for good ways to dress up your house without refurbishing it? Why not give wall fountains a try. These geysers not only lend elegance to any home, they also provide a variety of health benefits to a home's occupants and guests with the melodic cascade of water. Despite coming in different sizes and finishes, glass fountains may prove better choices as they complement most interior design schemes.
