Home Remedies as Genital Warts Removal
Not consulting your doctor when you have this embarrassing disease has never brought good results to anyone. This fear of consulting the doctor isn’t really related to the fear of consultation but more towards the cost of treatments as well as the fact that you would need recurring visits just to remove the warts away completely. A good way to go is to visit the doctor first to identify if what you have is really genital warts and then try talking to the doctor to identify possible treatment methods that do not involve medical genital wart treatments and instead those that use home remedies.
These home remedies have been tried and tested and the good news is it can be found in your very own kitchen. Most of these methods can be done in the comforts of your own home and in your own privacy. Some of the most popular forms of home remedy genital warts removal are baking soda and castor oil.
You can use baking soda by applying directly to the affected area of the skin. If case of irritation, this is where castor oil comes in. It can be used to sooth the irritation and give a calming, almost menthol feel. Another method that is right from your kitchen cabinet is garlic. Cut up small sizes of garlic or make it into a paste and apply it on the affected area. You can use medical tape or plasters to secure the application overnight. Garlic has acidic contents which would make the warts fall of much faster than usual.
Apart from garlic, applying bananas the way garlic is applied is also used by some people, though it might take longer for the warts to fall out because bananas have less acidic components than garlic. If you do not like the idea of using fruits and vegetables on your intimate areas, you can switch to a different alternative which is to use vitamin capsules.
Beta carotene capsules can be used as how you would use the above mentioned applications. Take a capsule and prick it with a sterile needle. Then apply a few drops of the capsule on the affected areas as you would with genital wart creams. This should be done at least 2 times daily until the symptoms improve. Beta carotene is an antioxidant and contains anti-inflammatory properties that help relieve the symptoms of genital warts.
Apart from Beta Carotene, you can also use Vitamin E capsules. Prick the capsule and squeeze the contents into a paste of garlic for a better and much effective combination. Apply this directly to the affected places at least two to three times a day for speedier recovery. Apart from items in the fridge or your medicine cabinet, take a tour to your garden. If you have onions growing, cut them up and rub some salt to the sliced up onion. Use bandage to place the sliced onion on the affected area overnight for better results.
One of my favorite home remedies is Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera has been known not only be genital wart treatments but treatments for acne and burns as well as for sun burn. You can make Aloe Vera paste by tearing away the layer of green and squeezing out the sticky liquid and applying it directly to the warts. Aloe Vera helps by dissolving the warts and also acts as a great skin toner, healing the affected skin while treating the warts.
Vinegar is also a common genital wart removal method. You can use apple cider vinegar or plain white vinegar for this. Vinegar is part of the properties that are used in vaginal washes. Before applying vinegar to the affected genital area, dilute it with a little water as it can cause burning sensations to the skin. Apply the vinegar after every shower. Another alternative is to soak in a bath of vinegar.
For a remedy that does not cause any irritation, you can use milkweed. The stem of milkweed contains a fresh milky sap much like the aloe. Take this sap and apply it to the warts. This is a good remedy especially for people with sensitive skin. While you have these warts, it is good to incorporate all the above mentioned fruits, vegetables and capsules as part of your daily diet as it will increase the healing rate of your warts. Take loads of citrus fruits, garlic, asparagus, beta carotene which is in carrots, onions as well as garlic.
