Common Genital Warts Treatments

Most of us would not forget the image of the old witch found in every kid’s fairy tales.  She wears a black and dirty robe, sports a wiry and unkempt hair, eyes protruding as if ready to burst, shrill cackle, crooked nose and especially the most characteristic feature is the wart found on the bridge of her nose.

The witch with her wart on her nose is the epitome of evil in every kid’s imagination.  With the mere mention of the word witch we can immediately picture her in the above description ready to fly in her broomstick.  In the first place what are warts?

By definition a wart is a lump on the uppermost layer of the skin.  This is usually produced when a form of virus attacks the skin cells and because of this, the attack can cause the virus to multiply very rapidly.  The wart viruses can easily be transmitted.  It can be contracted thru touch or the direct contact of the skin from an infected skin shed from a wart.  Warts can grow anywhere in the body facial warts or genital warts.  With the latter genital wart cure is necessary.

Warts can be found to be common to teenagers but is less common with children and adults.  Generally, warts are harmless and can cause no permanent damage or injury.  Yet some warts are found to cause cancer in some people.

There are several types of warts and are produced by different viruses.  The most common wart is called the verruca or a plantar wart.  This can usually be found on the bottom of the foot.  This type of wart is small, hard, lumpy, horny, colored white or pink with a surface resembling like a cauliflower.  And inside this wart are small, clotted blood vessels.

Warts found on the foot tend to be flat and can grow at level with the skin.  The reason behind this is that the warts tend to be pushed too often because of the weight of the person.  Nonetheless, the warts can still develop.

This common form of wart can grow anywhere on your body but is most likely to grow on your hands or on the genitals.  The common warts are generally painless.  But a wart on the bottom of your foot can make you uncomfortable.  With a wart on the foot it can make you feel like walking on pebbles.

Generally, warts tend to disappear naturally but it can take years for it to completely be gone.  But the discomfort caused by warts cannot wait for several of those years.  Immediate cure should be found.

This is especially true for genital warts where the discomfort cannot be discounted especially during sexual intercourse where you might contaminate your sexual partner also. However, there are several genital warts treatments available today.

There are many common genital wart cure and many people are testifying that they are effective.  Effective in a sense those warts tend to disappear naturally without so much the help of some medications.

However, the best way to treat warts is to apply a wart remedy in the form of ointment or lotion.  These medications are available even without the prescription of doctors and can be had at most drugstores.  These forms of medications contain chemicals that destroy those viruses.

But also be careful in the way and amount you apply these medications.  Since they contain chemicals it can also affect the surrounding skin in terms of discoloration as well as the health of the healthy and unaffected skin.

It should also be noted that treating warts especially those appearing on the genitals with chemicals should first be consulted with your doctors.  The skin of the genital is very sensitive and any wrong medication can harm the genital permanently and severely.

Your physician may prescribe a better genital wart remover like removing it by freezing thru the use of liquid nitrogen or even burning it with electricity thru cauterization.  Just a few session of treatment can allow the warts to fall off easily.

For any treatment that you think is necessary it is always best to consult your physician for specific instructions.
