How and What To Do To Prevent Genital Warts
One thing a doctor would tell you when asked how to relieve genital wart symptoms is to avoid taking over the counter genital wart creams medications and to stick with medications that are prescribed by the doctor. Some of the most common prescription medications given by doctors are in the form of genital wart creams called Podofilox, Imiquimod and TCA. Apart from creams, prescribed medication is also used. That is why home use is not recommended. What happens is the doctor applies the TCA directly on the warts which kills them. TCA is considered the most effective of the three treatment methods, but because it requires weekly visits to your doctor till the warts are completely gone.
Apart from genital warts cream, other medical procedures such as prescription medication are also used. Alpha interferon is one of them. This is an anti-viral that is injected into the wart tissue.
