Treating and Ridding Genital Warts
Are you the type who is without any reservations when it comes to promiscuity and very open about having sexual with all and sundry? In this age of AIDS and HIV, not many people are anymore, with monogamous relationships – especially the sexual ones – being highly rated and appealing to a whole lot of couples. There are however some who continues to have such open flings all the same. If you belongs the second group, you should at the very least practice some measure of safe sex whenever possible and try to limit your sexual acts with those whom you know personally. The dangers and risk associated with such a free for all is highly documented and it is in sexually transmitted diseases – some terminal – and others just as equally disgusting like that of genital wart cures notwithstanding. The other danger is that such infection can become a vicious cycle between similarly ‘open” individuals.
Should you belong to the latter’s grouping, you should also be aware of how to spots signs of an impending infection so that you would known when and how to get rid of genital warts as and when you are affected by the nasty sexually transmitted condition. Now, just as its name suggests, genital warts are normally found in the genital areas – for men, it can be on the penis, somewhere between the penis and the scrotum, in the areas of the anus, and generally all the surrounding areas involved, while for women – yes, they too are similarly affected – the infection could spread to the vulva, the vagina, the cervix and their anus as well. Given the relatively extensive areas where you can be infected, just knowing how to get rid of genital warts would not be enough to cure yourself from it.
In some cases the genital warts are small and fine that it would not be seen by the naked eye, while in others they come out cauliflower like in their appearance. Whichever the form the genital warts take on in the case of an infection, the real dangers of its unabated infection is not in the mere aesthetics aspect of it but the fact that these fleshy growth could lead to cancer of the penis for men and cervix for women. As such seeking treatment when the first sign of a genital wart infection shows up, the better if would be for sufferers. As the infection is mainly caused by a particularly nasty virus that goes by the name human papillomavirus or HPV for short, any genital wart cures would need to tackle this virus in order to treat the symptoms.
It should be repeated that the genital wart is something that you can only get by having either oral, anal and even vaginal sexual intercourse with someone who is infected early on by the virus. Wearing a condom may stop some of the transmission of the infection but since a condom will not cover all the concerned areas, this is also highly debatable that it would stop one from being infected. The surest way is, still, alas to refrain from having far too many sexual partners. That alone would reduce substantially your risks to such infection. While genital wart cures are generally available in the market and upon consultation, the somewhat lengthy incubation periods of the growth may mean that by the time you do realize that you are infected, it might just be a little bit too late to be applying topically administered genital warts medications.
Should you find yourself infected though, there are several choices in treatment which you could perhaps resort to. One such is the genital wart remover in specially mixed chemical based medications to dissolve the warts and enabling them to be eradicated from the infected zones. Usually these chemicals are applied over a period of time to enable a more effective “cleaning up” process and this process should be carried out by experienced physicians. Treating genital warts infections is not something that you should try and do it ourselves, as the wrong combination or application may just worsen the situation by causing injuries to the already highly sensitive area. You definitely do not want this to happen, so do leave things to the professionals.
If in case you are already in the chronic stage of a genital wart infection, you may want to skip the genital wart remover with something more effective, albeit costlier. Physicians may advise you to go for a treatment called cryotheraphy. This involved freezing the warts before removing them via laser surgery. It’s a nip, really. One thing’s for sure is that while these would rid you of the cauliflowers, the virus might still lay dormant for the next round of infection. Stay safe thus.
