Nipping the Buds of Genital Warts

You wake up one fine day and find yourself feeling itchy in the areas everyone except for the most flamboyant of sexual voyeur would relish to show in public. Starting the scratch the patch, you begin to feel slightly squeamish even as your finger touches soft, fleshy growth so fine that you can only feel but not view the growth. With a certain trepidation, you realize thus that you have been infected with an infection that could only come from the direct skin to skin, sexually charged up, act with someone who has it in the first place. The name of this infection is more sweet sounding in its scientific nomenclature, or Condylomata acuminata, but to all us layman, the name that we should be dreading is simply genital warts. A wart is a wart, and how to remove genital warts once you are so infected would be high in the minds of anyone so afflicted.

Know for a fact that genital warts are infections that you can only get from sexual acts. In fact any type of sexual acts with someone already infected – oral, vaginal or even anal for that matter – would lead to you receiving the sexually transmitted infection without even knowing it. Depending on where the infection hits you, genital wart is simply the general name for it as there are other equally colorful names, and highly apt when concluding where you have been hit by the infection, including venereal warts, and anal or anogenital warts. Genital warts do not care whether you are a male or a female as all that matters for the  human papilloma virus, or HPV for short, is that you happen to have the warm, slightly moist and slightly wet area that is favored for their incubation to full blown genital warts infection. Your concerned, other that how to remove genital warts would also have to be that of how to detect the warts in the first place.

It should not be difficult, I hear you say. Yes, but that is true only if and when the infection is spreading fast in your genatalia areas – penis, vagina and anus – where the soft, fleshy growth could be detected with a swabbing of acetic acid and like substance whereby the impact of the action would create a response that turns the warts whitish in color enabling you to see how much of an area that have been infected. The problem here is that the length of time the HPV needs to incubate before becoming a full blown infection. You'd probably start feeling some itchiness in the second month of infection but it takes a full nine months for the virus to incubate itself. As such the removal of genital warts would mean that you would be exposed to the same someone who had spread the infection to you in the first place, either knowingly or unknowingly. For most of the time, though, even nine months into its incubation, there is every chance of a full and successful removal of genital warts provided you do take the necessary step to (ahem) expose yourself to some scrutiny.

Is there a do-it-yourself form of active “how to remove genital warts” kind of solution? Patients so infected with the genital warts infection (that is if they happen to know and realize what it is) are wont to reveal the level of infection which they are hit with to qualified physicians until it is far too spread out. Most of the time, many so infected would try the many genital wart medication that comes often in the form of either cream or solution to be spread evenly throughout the infected area. Some genital wart medication utilises the chemical solution of podophyllin at 25% dilution, which when applied, takes a few hours to work on the infected area providing it some good removal of the warts at their bud as the solution has good absorption characteristics. This is a particularly effective method that could be used for the removal of genital warts unless you are a woman and pregnant at the time of the infection. If that is the case, then due care has to be applied and adhered to as the solution could easily be absorbed into the blood stream via the skin and onto your baby. That is something which every mother would want to avoid.

Other methods of removal of genital warts would need you to brave the somewhat apparent ridicule of being so infected by the remarkably disconcertingly disgusting growth, especially in its connotations of the promiscuity on your part when it comes to sexual partners. That's rights. One of the surefire way to get infected by the genital warts infection would be to indulge in mutiple sexual partners and indulging in mainly unprotected oral, vaginal and anal sex acts with them. Since the virus take a whole nine months to incubate, you would most probably will never know who it was who gave you the infection. Unless you are willing to reveal each and everyone of them in an effort to rid them of genital warts, its best that you stick to one, or if you cannot (or would not), then to be overly protective to yourself and apply some good sense to use protection when doing your sexual acts with your various partners. How to remove genital warts is not difficult, but accepting the fact as to what and how you got the infection might be for some people.

For those willing to seek specialist help to help in the removal of genital warts infecting them, there are two other methods that are quite effective in tackling the growth when they are still very much in the spreading phase, and that is via freezing them with nitrogen before scrapping the fleshy growth away, or burning them with precision instrument such as laser to fry the genital warts. Either way would help you to rid of the ones that have already surfaced, but once this is done, those infected should apply some kind of genital wart medication so that there will not be a recurrence in the infection and do refrain from taking on the same sets of sexual partners unless you are really sure the one who have the yucky infection has been taken out from the list.
